Jenn-Air JMC8130DDS Microwave power failure

Did you clean your Jenn-Air oven only to find that your combo microwave doesn’t work, but your oven still does? Do you love the way this oven/microwave looks, but absolutely want to strangle Jenn-Air for the functionality of the unit? If that’s you too, here’s how you remedy the problem. These are a couple of pictures of the oven/microwave, and below it is how to get your microwave working again.

Simply remove the 8 screws holding your oven/microwave to the cabinet. Do not remove the two screws between the microwave and the oven.

Then with two people, pull the unit away from the cabinet. When you pull the oven and microwave (they are connected) away from the cabinet, you should see a black 20 amp reset button on the top of the back of the oven. Flip the reset button, and the microwave will suddenly come back on.

If anyone has the problem with the oven door hinges not allowing the oven door to close tightly, and has found a solution, please post the solution in the comments.

I have also attached the user manual for the oven only, and the install guide. I could never seem to locate the owners manual for the combo unit. I’m not sure if one actually existed.

My Stay at the Ocean Villa Inn – San Diego, California

This is a blog about my two night stay at the Ocean Villa Inn at 5142 West Point Loma Blvd. San Diego, CA 92107. I reserved two nights at the Ocean Villa Inn for two reasons, it was dog friendly, and it is right next to Ocean Beach.
It lived up to both of those expectations without a problem. However, what I didn’t consider was everything else. My goal is to share a few of the pros and cons of my stay.

When I first pulled up to the Ocean Villa, my gut instinct said “oh shit.” This is because the hotel looked beat up, there was tons of foot traffic in the parking lot, and the clientele seemed a bit dicey. I wanted to see the inside before I passed heavy judgement. When we finally got in, it didn’t look so great. It was like the outside, beat up and run down. Once I got passed the initial cosmetics, I glanced out the back and realized the ocean was literally 400 to 500 yard from my hotel. But remember, we paid $380 for two nights (with a dog). That’s pretty damn steep considering the upkeep of the place. Therefore, I felt like I was getting one hell of a location, but getting a mediocre hotel at best.

Pros
- Right by the dog friendly Ocean Beach. What a fabulous beach! It was a blast.
- Hotel is dog friendly in every way.
- Dog washing station. This thing was perfect for washing your dog down before going back to the hotel.
- They had on site laundry facilities that were $1.50 a load. Considering how sandy everything got, this came in handy.
- Wonderful staff, very dog friendly as well.

Cons-
- The hotel cosmetically looks dumpy. No two ways about it.
- The walls are paper thin. I thought there was a damn freight train driving around upstairs. I can sleep through anything, but for someone who can’t, good luck.
- The floors are nasty. They are all tile and had a dirty grimy feel to them. Didn’t expect carpet, but cleaning the floors needs to be a huge priority in that place.
- Check out time is at 11AM and when we asked for 15 minutes more they kind of gave us the “I guess you can routine.” Not a fan of that.
- We couldn’t get housekeeping to show up until 5:30PM and we called in advance. So why is it a big deal to stay until 11:15AM for checkout?
- Cost – We paid $380 for two nights. I expect clean floors for $380.
- Service at a lot of the area restaurants is pathetic. This has nothing to do with the hotel, but I was still blown away.

How Often Should I Water My Summer Grass in Phoenix, Arizona

First, kill off your Rye grass (winter), chop it back, and fertilize like the picture below. I highly recommend you hire a professional for this portion. I use Bim, he’s fair, honest, and trustworthy.
Bim’s Lawn Service

Once that process is complete, you should water your Bermuda grass (summer) once a day at 5AM for 20 minutes. Yes, that’s every region for 20 minutes. This should go on for 10 days. After 10 days, switch to only 4 times a week at 20 minutes. Keep your sprinkler start time at 5AM. Bermuda grass should be fertilized 4 weeks after you start the process of growing it.
